The Sun, A Bride (Perhaps)

Is the scorching sun a bride somewhere

Is the scorching sun a bride somewhere
Veiled into the night,
To be awakened by a sleepy Dawn
To bring it back to light

Do the red spots on its cheeks
Not seem like demure blushes,
How do we know when it dips
Where are its romantic crushes?

When it’s done for the night
(That we spend in the dark)
To loiter somewhere unknown,
We, anxiously, wait for the errant Sun
To return and tell us
What it reaped and what its sown

But, however wayward the Orb maybe
We’d hardly manage without it,
For, not only does it keep us warm and cozy
It also keeps our hearts well lit.

Amen!
