Following the discovery of a coronavirus infected woman at a garment factory in Minuwangoda, the relevant authorities have taken immediate action to control the spread of the disease.

The Ministry of Education has announced that all schools in the island will be closed until further notice.

The school vacation which was scheduled on October 9, 2020, has been advanced by one week, and accordingly, the vacation will be effective from October 5, 2020, the Ministry of Education said.
