Sri Lanka COVID-19 cases rise to 824 with 27 new cases today

Colombo: Sri Lanka reported 27 new cases Thursday, raising the total number of people contracted the coronavirus to 824, the Health Ministry said.

According to the Epidemiology Unit report released at 11:58 pm Thursday, 583 confirmed patients are receiving treatment at hospitals while 134 individuals are currently under investigations in hospitals.

Nine patients have died while 232 patients including the Chinese tourist, who was the first COVID-19 case detected in the country in January and discharged last month, have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.
