Colombo: Sri Lanka reported 31 new cases today, raising the total number of people contracted the coronavirus to 619, the Health Ministry said.

According to the Health Promotion Bureau report released at 11 pm Tuesday, 478 confirmed patients are receiving treatment at hospitals while 317 individuals are currently under investigations in hospitals.

Seven patients have died and 134 patients including the Chinese tourist, who was the first COVID-19 case detected in the country in January and discharged last month, have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.
