In The Precincts Of The Mind
In the precincts of the mind,
In the fortress I call mine,
In the precincts of the mind,
In the fortress I call mine,
Are barriers and sentries,
And the light of the divine.
Entry to the mind is always free,
To the thoughts that forever flow,
But passage then restricted
And some are asked to go.
Those let in are then filtered,
At the entry level gate,
And screening done to ensure,
No signs of anger, hurt or hate.
Only friends like love and goodness,
Then pass through the door,
And board the ship of calm and peace,
That awaits them at my shore.
