Nepal has received the medical supplies and aid promised by France in a ceremony held at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport. The aid includes masks, antigen test kits, PPE kits, glasses, and medical consumables.

Nepal’s Health Minister Hridayesh Tripathi received the consignment from the French ambassador to Nepal, Francois-Xavier, on Wednesday.

After the COVID-19 situation exploded in Nepal, the country sought assistance from countries across the world to help manage the crisis. China, Nepal, Australia, Canada, the United States, and Britain provided help to the country.

The World Bank, several UN agencies have also been playing a crucial role.

Last week, the Australian government had provided around $5.4 million in grants to the Nepali government.
