Colombo: The number of total confirmed COVID-19 coronavirus cases in Sri Lanka has risen to 588, according to the Epidemiology Unit report released at 11:30 pm Monday (27).

Health Ministry has confirmed that 65 new coronavirus patients have been identified in the last 24 hours bringing the total active patients receiving treatment at hospitals to 455 while 295 individuals are currently under investigations in hospitals.

Seven patients have died and 126 patients including the Chinese tourist, who was the first COVID-19 case detected in the country in January, have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.
