The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has shifted the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season six to the United Arab Emirates amid a spike in Covid-19 cases in Pakistan, Tribune reported.

Quoting anonymous sources, the report said the UAE government has permitted holding of the remaining PSL season in Abu Dhabi.

A seven-member PCB team present in Abu Dhabi has notified the board officials of the development.

The players are expected to be transported to the UAE by chartered flights.

A final decision is expected, soon, after consultations with franchise owners and taking into account the logistical issues of holding the tournament.

The matches were originally scheduled to be played from June 1 to 20.
