BCCI president Sourav Ganguly said the upcoming ODI series between India and Sri Lanka has been rescheduled due to the reporting of COVID-19 cases in the Sri Lankan team's camp.

Sri Lanka's batting coach Grant Flower and analyst GT Niroshan have tested positive for coronavirus.

The first ODI, which was scheduled to be played on July 13 has been postponed to July 17, IBNS said quoting the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president.

The second and third ODIs will now be played on July 19 and 21 instead of  July 16 and 18 of the same month.

The three-match T20 series was originally scheduled to begin on July 21.

A second Indian team under coach Rahul Dravid and captain Shikhar Dhawan will be playing against Sri Lanka in the tour. The national team is now on a tour of England where they will play a five-Test series. (SAM)
