Veteran Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik, who is married to Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza, has recorded scenes for a drama serial which will soon be aired on television,  the all-rounder announced during a television show.

The 39-year-old Malik broke the news about his acting debut during a television show Time Out With Ahsan Khan, leaving his fans stunned, Daily Pakistan reported.

Malik said the audience will soon see him on the television, adding that he had recoded scenes at multiple places.

The former Pakistan skipper said he was trying to keep his focus on cricket as he still has a lot to achieved in the field.

However, he said "new experiments" should be made in life, and acting was one of them. Malik is following of several subcontinental cricketers who have gone into acting after a life in cricket. Indian ace bowler Harbhajan Singh is the latest among them.
