Keep The Spirits Soaring

There’s a mountain within me that I climb everyday

There’s a mountain within me that I climb everyday
The spirits within, soaring, heavenwards,
I challenge myself to the pinnacle in the skies
Thus, drowning the uncertainties,
My, vapid, fears.

I look at the stars before I sleep
And, in my mind that picture keep
Hoping, that I see the next day
The biggest of all Stars,
The mighty Sun
And thus, keep alive the spirits
For the next morning’s
Run.

The thoughts of Dawn
The sprinkled Dew
The air so fresh and breezy,
The night, then, in a Peace supreme
Whistles by
And, pleasant Dreams, then,
Come easy.

Living well, is a conscious art
The imponderables notwithstanding,
I can’t jump off the cliff’s edge
And, be sure of, unhindered, standing,
I can, though, my chances take
As we all do in games of chance,
(Life is no exception)
Leaving it to Destiny
Whom I, foolishly, sometimes, take on
To test it(not me),
My arrogance,
My infallibility,
The “satanic” spirit within Me,
The Devil May Care, Wildness,
Shorn of which I am a lifeless, dull
Being.

A little Dance
A step or two
With the Devil a little Chance,
That is Life for me
Living it
Indeed, a great Romance.
