If there are no flowers where you are, 
and the stars seem too far, 
then try the DGC, friends, 
and you will understand what is a par ?

It's only a matter of strokes though, 
from tee to ho, we all know.
But counting is an "intelligent" art, 
when interrupted is the flow. 

Now two plus two is always four, 
and on a par four, that's a pretty good score.
Bunkers in jungles can add a bit, 
and then strides in the counting score.

Now five or six is never a par on a par four, 
even if the card is without a scar. 
A little bit of fiddle here and there, 
remember, 
will never get anyone a Tesla car.  

So I'll close it now with some fun and banter.
Golf's a marathon, run at canter, 
some trees, some skies, some truths, some lies, 
and like life, some lows and some high.
