Sri Lanka's Minister of Health Pavithra Devi Wanniarachchi respectfully requests the support of the people to control COVID-19 viral infection in the country.

"We especially want to ask the people of Sri Lanka to give us back the support you have given in the past to combat COVID-19 disease. A patient has emerged in the society today. We were able to eradicate this disease especially due to the action taken by the President to control this disease in Sri Lanka and the support given by the people,” the Minister said speaking at the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) today (04).

The Health Minister urged the people to immediately return to the health practices such as hand washing, wearing a mask, social distancing of at least a meter and covering when sneezing or coughing.
