Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has said that the government will focus on improving fisheries exports to generate revenue to the country.

“We continue to import fish although our country is surrounded by an ocean. The fish in our waters are obtained by other countries,” Rajapaksa said on Sunday.

He made these remarks during a groundbreaking ceremony for two anchorages in Tangalle and Mawella.
