Covid vaccine for all citizens between the ages of 30-60

All Sri Lankan citizens between the ages of 30 – 60 years will receive the COVID-19 vaccine from the 01st of March at 4,000 centers island-wide, State Minister of Primary Health Care, Epidemics, and COVID Disease Control, (Dr.) Sudarshini Fernandopulle said.

The Minister also stated that steps have been taken to carry out the vaccination at 2000 centers per day.

Meanwhile, more than 160,000 frontline health workers and security personnel were vaccinated with the Oxford-AstraZeneca’s Covishield vaccine since the 29th of January, the State Minister said adding that various other sectors are also requesting for the vaccine be given to them as well.
