Sri Lankan animation artist Randy Chriz Perera has shot to fame after he directed the animation for the lyric video of internationally famed American rapper Eminem’s new song 'Tone Deaf,' which has already gone viral.

The track is a single from the songwriter and record producer Eminem’s new album ‘Music to be murdered by.’

Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, tweeted the video on March 6 with a line from the track: “I won't stop even when my hair turns gray (I'm tone deaf)/ 'Cause they won't stop until they cancel me.”

The lyric video of ‘Tone of Deaf’ soon went viral and has already crossed over three million views on YouTube, according to NewsWire.

Responding to the tweet, Randy said: “I never expected this to happen, But I worked for it every day of my life…@Eminem Thank you!.”

Randy, who is currently working as the chief artist and animator at Meraki United in Sri Lanka, had last year made a fan-made lyric video for Eminem’s “Godzilla.” The animated lyric video went viral. And soon his work was on the official Eminem YouTube channel.

Marshall, who noticed Randy’s work, commissioned the lyric video for 'Tone Deaf' from him, according to eminem.news.

Randy has said that he realized his passion for art and animation when he was young.

But in Sri Lanka also not many people had known him. It was only after his fan-made video for Eminem’s 'Godzilla' music video that he came to the limelight. Currently, this video has eight million views on YouTube. There was no looking back for him.

He got a chance to sign in as a supplier for Interscope Universal Music Group (UMG), an American global music corporation, media reports said.

“Randy got an excellent opportunity to become the director of Eminem’s new lyrics video – 'Tone Deaf,' according to eonlinesrilanka. "The production was done by Meraki United. This is a massive achievement for Randy and a proud moment for Sri Lankans. This huge leap marks the future of his career and it proves that this talented artist has a long way to go," added the newspaper.
