Corona fund crosses Rs. 2 Billion

A fund created by the Nepalesae government for the prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19 has crossed Rs. 2 billion mark. The size of the fund has increased to Rs. 2.01 billion by Wednesday evening, with Rs. 6.04 million being deposited on the very day

Kathmandu: A fund created by the Nepalesae government for the prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19 has crossed Rs. 2 billion mark. The size of the fund has increased to Rs. 2.01 billion by Wednesday evening, with Rs. 6.04 million being deposited on the very day.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Planning Commission deposited Rs. 683,449 and Rs. 528,744 in the fund on Wednesday. Biratnagar Customs Office, Ram Hari Neupane and Department of Information and Broadcasting deposited Rs. 239,364, Rs. 127,485 and Rs. 102,569 respectively in the fund.

The fund received Rs. 32 million on Tuesday with Himalaya Airlines contributing Rs. 10 million, Sun Nepal Life Insurance Rs. 3 million and National Microfinance Rs. 1 million.

Other contributors who supported money in the fund on Tuesday were Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Prabhu Life Insurance, Nepal Mountaineering Association, Tribhuvan International Airport Customs, Rupandehi District Court, Badimalika Municipality and District Administration Office, Tanahun.
Others were High Court Dipayal, District Court Kavre, Tharu Commission, Directorate of Health and District Court Baglung.
