The critically acclaimed Bangladeshi film, "Robibaar" (On a Sunday), recently won two awards at the Madrid International Film Festival 2020.

Jaya Ahsan won the award for Best Lead Actress in a Foreign Language Film, while Indian director Atanu Ghosh received the award for Best Original Screenplay of a Foreign Language Film.

"Among so many amazing films and renowned actors, winning this award is a big achievement for me and the credit for this goes to our director Atanu Ghosh," Jaya told The Daily Star. "This win belongs to the whole cast and crew. I am especially grateful to Bumbada (Proshenjit Chatterjee) for helping me out in portraying this character on screen."
