The delegation of the European Union said it is funding fifteen agencies in Sri Lanka and two in the Maldives to build higher education capacity.

The EU is collaborating with Sri Lanka’s University of Peradeniya in the Capacity Building for Higher Education (CBHE) projects.

“Education, research, and development are key EU priorities for its external relations with partner countries such as Sri Lanka and that higher education institutions play a key role in advancing societies,” Frank Hess, Head of Cooperation at the EU Delegation said.
