Sri Lankan Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has appointed two advisors on Hindu religious affairs for the Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, of which he is the subject minister.

Accordingly, former Chief Justice K. Sripavan has been appointed as the Senior Adviser to the Prime Minister on Hindu Religious Affairs and Dr. J M Swaminathan has been appointed as the Prime Minister's Adviser on Hindu Religious Affairs.

The newly appointed advisers received their appointment letters at Temple Trees on Thursday (29).
