Bangladesh Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen has expressed displeasure over a senior Palestine envoy commenting about a change in Bangladesh e-passport, reports UNB.

"This is irrelevant to me, totally irrelevant," Momen told journalists who sought his response to Palestine ambassador Yousef Saleh Y Ramadan’s remarks on the removal of the words "except Israel" from Bangladesh's e-passport.

Momen said Bangladesh maintains its own foreign policy and it is totally irrelevant which ambassador says what.

"We are a sovereign country. We will decide what we will do or not," said Momen after a program at Foreign Service Academy.

Ambassador Ramadan earlier dubbed Dhaka's decision "unacceptable”.
