A Chinese firm dealing in electrical hardware has been banned by Pakistan from participating in government bidding or tendering process for a month. The banned firm - not identified- is alleged to have submitted fake documents while participating in a government tender, media reports said.

The National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC), a state-owned undertaking that works under the Ministry of Energy, has blacklisted the Chinese firm and barred it from participating in all tenders/bidding process for a month.

In a statement issued by the NTDC manager  “[The Chinese firm] is hereby blacklisted and barred from participating in all NTDC bidding/tender process with immediate effect for a period of one month on account of submitting forged and fake documents.”

The order, however, will not be applicable to any existing projects.
