South Korea pledges $700,000 to address Rohingya crisis in Bangladesh

The Republic of Korea has pledged 700,000 US dollars to International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) as part of the country's continued support in addressing the Rohingya humanitarian crisis in Bangladesh since 2017

The Republic of Korea has pledged 700,000 US dollars to International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) as part of the country's continued support in addressing the Rohingya humanitarian crisis in Bangladesh since 2017.

The money will support works by IFRC's Emergency Appeal and Emergency Plan of Action for Population Movement Operation in Cox's Bazar Rohingya camps, according to a press release issued by Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Bangladesh.

Additionally, the Republic of Korea has collaborated with IFRC to address other humanitarian challenges, especially in disaster reduction, in Bangladesh, the release added.
