The current situation looks grim with visuals and news stories coming in of thousands of Afghans and foreign nationals wanting to leave Kabul while the Taliban seeks to impose Sharia law.
Post 9/11, the international community led by the USA invested billions of dollars in Afghanistan in both the development and security sector, to help it make the transition to a democracy
However all that effort and the assets created were washed away in a week.
