Omkar Nath Sharma, a 85-year-old resident of Delhi, is fondly called ‘Medicine Baba' (Baba is an honorific used in South and West Asian cultures for a wise old man),’ a moniker affectionately earned by going door to door to collect unused medicines, which are donated by him to those in need. Sharma walks around the city every day, seeking unused medicines from the well off, and distributing them among those who are too poor to afford them. A retired lab technician, Sharma manages to collect a large cache of medicines every month, despite his own physical impairment. And his reward is the gratitude he earns from the sick and less privileged
