Sri Lanka has quarantined a doctor at Colombo port and around 50 workers who had come into contact with the crew of an Indian oil tanker who had tested positive to Coronavirus, a military official said.

JCT workers had come into contact with the 17-member Indian oil tanker crew when they carried out inspection on the ship off Colombo’s Harbour, Army Media Spokesman Colonel Vijitha Hettiarachchi said.

However, the infected patient was only found when the oil tanker docked at the Trincomalee port.
