Half a century after the birth of Bangladesh, the work of inscription of “BD / BANGLADESH” has been completed by changing the writing “PAK / PAKISTAN” on the existing pillars on the Bangladesh-India border.

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has changed the inscription “PAK / PAKISTAN” on the existing pillar on the Bangladesh-India border to “BD / BANGLADESH’, said Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Operations Director Lieutenant Colonel Fayzur Rahman at a press conference held at BGB Headquarters in Dhaka’s Pilkhana area on Wednesday.

He said there were a total of 10,240 old pillars on the border, having “Pak” or “Pakistan” written on those pillars.
