To prevent the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus disease, a special islandwide operation has been launched with more than 60,000 security and health personnel to find the associates and relatives of the Minuwangoda garment factory workers.

The Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Health have launched these operations as the health officials have revealed that the coronavirus that has emerged this time is more virulent.

Military Media Director Brigadier Chandana Wickremasinghe told Silumina that the operation is carried out 24 hours a day by Army Intelligence along with other units.
