Two roadside mine blasts in the last twenty-four hours left \nine civilians dead and another 19 wounded Afghanistan. 

On Saturday morning, A bus carrying the passengers hit a roadside mine in Gereshk district of Helmand province, leaving 5 dead and 9 wounded. While, in another incident on Friday evening, a bus hit the roadside mine planted on Herat-Kandahar highway in Shindand district of Herat Province. The blast killed 2 passengers and wounded 10 others. 

The Defence Ministry of Afghanistan blamed the Taliban for planting the mines. Since the start of intra-afghan talks in Doha, the Afghan government has continuously been calling for a reduction in violence but the Taliban remained non-committal on the issue.
