Sisira Jayakodi, Minister of Indigenous Medicine Promotion, said that the ministry has developed several Ayurvedic drugs to treat COVID-19 and also for the people who are at greater risk of contracting the virus.

“Sadanga Panaya” and “Suwadarani Immunising Drink”, these are two drugs which have been developed using completely local herbs.

Western medicines have not yet been able to find a cure for COVID-19, added the minister while claiming that his ministry has the ability to develop drugs that can overcome this challenge.
