Trump’s numbers are exceedingly bad. In fact, his approval ratings are “lower than any president’s since polls began” — which was seventy years ago, when Franklin Delano Roosevelt was president.
“Tarrifying!” That is our invented one-word assessment of Donald Trump’s first 100 days in office as president for a second term. Those days have been “tarrifying” not just in terms of trade, but in actions taken across the board by the Trump administration.
Donald Trump tried to silence our citizens’ voices after he lost the presidential election to Joe Biden in 2020, illegitimately claiming he had won the election, and trying to have it overturned. He lost his battles on this claim in court after court, and again on Capitol Hill on January 6, 2021, when his insurrectionist-supporters failed to derail the confirmation of those election results.
Immediately upon his return to the White House Donald J. Trump went to war against DEI.
On his inauguration day of January 20, President Donald J. Trump signed an executive order to rename the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America.
It’s been just over one month since Donald J Trump returned to Washington to create a state of chaos and consternation.
Our fear, based upon Trump’s performance since returning to the presidency, is that Trump will “screw it up,” and what the American citizens will get is a golden daze instead of forward progress in this golden age. The golden daze will be a state of confusion and uncertainty among the citizenry about what is being done and how it will benefit them.
The federal government is under attack.
On January 20, 2025 Donald J. Trump will be sworn in as the 47th president of the United States. Eight years earlier on January 20, 2017, Trump was sworn in as the 45th president.
