Sri Lankan Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa today (15) presented Rs. 50,000 each to 40 selected Hindu temples at Temple Trees to coincide with the Navaratri Pooja.

He said that even though the whole world is facing major threats and crises due to the COVID-19 epidemic, it is the responsibility of all of us as a government to protect Hindu religious values.

The Chairmen of the Boards of Trustees of the temples attended the occasion and received the checks from the Prime Minister, symbolizing the grant of financial assistance.
