The government has decided to temporarily close all zoological gardens managed under the Department of National Zoological Gardens, the Minister of Wildlife and Forest Conservation, C.B. Ratnayake said.

Accordingly, Dehiwala Zoo, Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, Pinnawala Zoo and Ridiyagama Safari Park under the Department of National Zoological Gardens will be temporarily closed to the public due to the current COVID-19 situation.
