Dhaka under tight security before Eid

DHAKA: The Bangladeshi capital will be patrolled round the clock for 10 days beginning Tuesday (Nov 9) to see through the end of the holy month of Ramadan and the festival of Eid, expected to fall Nov 15.

Additional forces have already been deployed at markets, bus terminals and railway stations, reports Xinhua.

Highway patrolling has been stepped up to check robbery and harassment of bus passengers.

Elite security forces have joined police to maintain law and order on the roads since the beginning of Ramadan, while mobile courts are plying on city roads to clear traffic congestion.
